Eastvan Cross Controversy

evcross

A month ago, I posted a picture from the front page of the Vancouver Sun that read: Copyright Crossfire.

The gist of it was that there was a confrontation between a former Hell’s Angel and a picture framing store owner over who had the rights to the image of the Eastvan cross. The HA member claimed that the symbol belonged to a gang that he was a part of in the early 90′s. The store owner claimed that the image of the cross he was using was the property of the City of Vancouver and therefore free to use by the public. Judging by the comments left on the photo, it seems as though the public strongly supports the latter.

that cross has been around for-fucking-ever. dont think any one should get monatry gain from it. not even Lum

they didnt invent, and they can’t protect it. HA, ha no way.
